Publication Policy and Ethics

The Journal publishes scientific and scholarly articles, technical notes and editorial features. Special sections may be launched for specific events. The Journal accepts manuscripts both in Italian and English. To reach a wider audience authors are encouraged to submit their work in English.

The Journal will consider only original manuscripts that have not been published elsewhere and are not under consideration by another journal. In case of review articles, it is the responsibility of the author to obtain permission from the copyright holder to reproduce figures or tables that have been published elsewhere.

The Journal Publication Ethics refer to the guidelines and standards developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE: By submitting a manuscript to the Journal, the author(s) warrant that the manuscript is their own original work and that it has neither been published previously nor is currently being considered for publication elsewhere. They also warrant that the sources of any ideas and/or words in the manuscript that are not their own have been properly attributed through appropriate citations and/or quotes. All sources of financial support for the research should also be disclosed in the manuscript. The author(s) of a manuscript agree that if the manuscript is accepted for publication, the published article will be copyrighted using a Creative Commons “Attribution Non Commercial 4.0 International”. Only those individuals who have made a substantive contribution should be listed as authors; those whose contributions are indirect or marginal (e.g., colleagues or supervisors who have reviewed drafts of the work or provided proofreading assistance, and heads of research institutes/centers/labs) should be named in an “Acknowledgments” section at the end of the article, immediately preceding the Reference List.
